Bring Your Own Wheels Event for Toddlers- March 16:  We’d like to invite children, ages 18 months to 4 years old, to bring a ride-on or push toy to the Social Hall on Saturday, March 16 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (noon).  This is a fun opportunity to let our toddlers burn some energy and let parents in our community get to know each other.  Light refreshments will be served.  Please contact Emily Yosmanovich at eyosmanovich@stmatthewsumc.org for more information.

Parent Breakfast for Parents of Infants - 4 Year Olds

All parents of children birth - 4 years old are invited to come with their little ones to a special breakfast on Sunday Oct. 28th at 9:45 - 10:45 in the Social Hall.

This is a great chance to get to know other parents with young children and meet your child’s Sunday School teachers. There will be games and activities for the kids. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to breakfast.

Parent Meetings for 2013 Summer Youth Mission Trips (JP & ASP)

Are your youth interested in participating the Appalachia Service Project (9-12th grade) and Jeremiah Project (7-8th grade) this summer? You are invited to a special ASP and JP parent information session on Sunday, September 30th from 6:30 - 8:00 PM with our ASP and JP coordinators.  Applications are due in mid-October, so come learn about the program, and get involved!

Youth Ministry Fall Kick-Off!  It’s that time of year again!  Join us Sunday, Sept. 9th from 6:00 - 8:30 PM as we begin our fall ministry year!  Dinner will be provided, and there will be a special information session for parents, so all parents are invited to join us as well! Please be sure to fill out a St. Matthew’s UMC Youth Information, Consent & Standards Form online (or print a PDF copy and bring with you on the 9th).

Come Join the Mary Circle!

This is a welcoming circle geared to moms of young children, up to elementary ages - although all moms are welcome. We have a new meeting time for this year. We’ll meet on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 12:30 pm, right after church. We’ll meet out by the playground when the weather is nice, or inside if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Dads and kids are welcome to stay and play on the playground if they’d like to. Please bring your own lunch. We will have a planning meeting for this coming year on Sun., Aug. 19th, at 12:30 pm. Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday Set for August 2-5

Parents of Teens Class: The College Process Sessions

Join Parents of Teens Class for College 101 and 102.  On May 6th and May 13th Rudy Ehrenberg will be the guest leader for Parents of Teens class covering the process of finding, applying and getting your child through college.  Rudy is a former Dean of Students and tremendous resource on this subject.  The first class will cover finding the right college and the application process.  The second class will cover what today’s kids face in college.  Join us at 9:45 am in room 303.

Mary Circle Meeting - Thursday, March 8th

Please join the ladies of the Mary Circle for our monthly meeting on Thursday, March 8 at 7:00 pm in room 312.  St. Matthew’s member Holly Markwalter will be speaking on parenting.

Breakfast for Parents of 3rd and 4th Graders - Jan. 22nd

Children’s council invites all parents of 3rd and 4th graders to join us on Sunday Jan. 22nd at 9:45 in the social hall for a light breakfast. You will have a great opportunity to make connections with parents who also have 3rd and 4th graders and get meet the Sunday school teachers who work with your child each week.
